RISE OF EMPLOYMENT INCREASES THE INCOMES OF POOR PEOPLE

Raunaq: - Employment exchanges in India are just useless. Hardly, you will find a person, who has got a job from any employment exchange. The employees of employment exchange have no responsibilities. They don’t even maintain proper records. The Indian Government is yet to computerize the Employment exchanges.

Farhan: - Don’t worry, the ‘UIDAI’ project will smoothen these things. But, no one knows when the project will get completed. Mindtree has got a deal for ‘AADHAR’. They should complete the project as early as possible.

Shamina: - You people are blaming the employment exchanges, but, can’t you people see the global economic recession. It is spreading like a swine flu. If one country is reviving its economy, then the other country is getting infected by the virus of economic recession. After Dubai, Greece and London, now, it is turn for Spain and Hungary. Then, you never know, who will come next. Even China can get infected too. Indian Government needs to increase their job quota for the Muslim people.

Arindam: - This quota system in job should be banned. Show me any other country where there are all these quota system for jobs. Till date, not a single political party of India showed the courage to declare that India will not have any caste or religious quota. All candidates should be treated equally in all respects. Separate reservation should be kept for handicapped people only. B.R.Ambedkar just created a divided Indian society in the name of framing a new Indian constitution. In this modern era, a person of SC/ST sleeps in a palace and a person of GENERAL category sleeps on footpath. Then why the Indian Government is still continuing that quota system and caste-reservation system? 50 years after the Indian independence, all the SC/ST people have been revived to the full extent. Now, this SC/ST people have become a creamy layer of our society by utilizing the advantages from the Indian Government. Indian Government should abolish the reservation system as early as possible.

Seema: - All the Indian political parties believe in ‘Divide and Rule’ policy. That’s why; they always come up with new reservation and quota systems to gain votes. They even shamelessly start supporting those Harianvi and Jat people, who kills their own younger sisters in the name of honour. If a Brahmin girl marries a Dalit person, she gets killed and politicians like Mr. Jindal feels proud about that. It’s a shame on B.R.Ambedkar and his caste-based India.

Raunaq: - All these problems will get solved if India can create its own domestic market. Create more job opportunities; then no one will demand for separate quota or caste reservation.

Arindam: - If Indian government just keeps on sleeping, then how can you create a domestic market? Take the example of MNREGA only. For MNREGA scheme, the money comes to the village panchayats, but if you ask the villagers, you will find out that hardly any villager gets the job of a laborer in every month. The sarpanch keeps the money of MNREGA in his own pocket. Rahul Gandhi spoke out about that truth, but the UPA government scolded Rahul for speaking the truth. Declaring a scheme or a yojana does not increase employment, but there has to be proper governance and monitoring system at the root level. One basic thing you have to understand that if you cannot increase employment in your domestic market, then no matter, how much you play game with CRR, Repo, Reverse Repo, Bank rate and SLR; inflation of the reviving Indian economy will start killing the poor people. If poor people start dying out of hunger, then again Indian economy will go back in recession. If a college student gets a job today, then tomorrow, he can afford to eat meals at 50 bucks instead of 30 bucks. He will even board a taxi instead of bus. So, a taxi driver will also get more customers than before and hence his income also increases. In this scenario, inflation is rising, but the income of poor people is also increasing. Therefore, the Indian economy will become a balanced economy due to the growth in domestic market and increase in domestic jobs. This will lead to social equilibrium also. The time has come for the Indian Government to realize that the “RISE OF EMPLOYMENT INCREASES THE INCOMES OF POOR PEOPLE”.

WORLDEX & GLOMONEY

Warner: - Somehow, we are not getting out of this global recession, despite bringing in some new financial policies. The global recession started with the money-laundering case in USA. The economy was just about to recover, but, alas, the bubble burst of Dubai real estate sector came into the picture, followed by Greece, which displayed its real financial skeleton. As a net result, the stock exchanges throughout the world are dipping into the red sea.

Arindam: - Well, there are surely some green islands here and there in between that red sea. The biggest problem is that all the economies are dependent on other economies to prosper. No one is a self-sufficient economy.

Susan: - God has distributed natural resources and human resources in all parts of the world in such a calculative manner that no country can prosper by remaining isolated. Therefore, if we want to really come out of this global recession, then we should increase co-operation among others in terms of amending or adopting strict, uniform and universal financial policies.

Chang: - Are we really concerned about the problems that lies in the basic roots of the World Financial system? Whenever there is some financial crisis in a nation, the President or Prime Minister of that nation declares the stimulus package. If a plant has been attacked by some serious viruses or germs or worms, then no matter how much water you pour in its roots, the plant is going to die. You need pesticides or fertilizers.

Mbeki: - Hmm…but, there is always a disparity. There are countries like USA, who are very liberal in their credit policies and on the other hand, there are nations, which always holds back its money as their savings instead of channelizing it to create more funds in their treasury. Also, the governments of any nation do not have any control on the financial activities of the private companies operating in their country. Suppose if company X acquires company Y or merges with it, then the governments of both the acquired company and the acquirer company needs to intervene in it. The governments need to approve those deals if there is a positive synergy at least beyond 1.5, otherwise, those deals will not be approved. Moreover, in those deals, both the companies engaged in Merger & Acquisitions need to pay 5.5% of the total deal value to both the governments or a single government (whichever is applicable), so that if anything goes wrong in the future due to that Merger & Acquisition deal, then the Governments can bail out the situation.

Manirullah: - nice suggestion! But don’t you also think that there should be a single currency all over the world. Why should we trade in US dollars? Instead of trading in USD, we should make a global currency with which the world trade will take place.

Arindam: - But, what’s the point in making a new global currency if there is no global stock exchange. In that case also, we are the slaves of US economy. If a company gets listed in Nasdaq, then we feel proud about that, but on the other hand, we don’t understand the very basic thing that the US economy is the most vulnerable one. To add salt to the wounds, the most number of bankrupt companies is in USA only. If this is the scenario, then why the hell are we all still trying hard to become dependent on US economy? Just change that perception of slavery and be a free bird, which flies in the sky and also co-operates with everyone. We should have a Global stock exchange where the top 5 profitable companies of every nation will get listed. World Bank will act as the regulatory body cum broker of that exchange. The money that the World Bank will gain by acting as a broker of this World Exchange will be kept reserved in a separate account and will be used only for financial bail-out of those countries, which will be badly hit by global recession. All the trades in that exchange will take place with a global currency. The name of the Global Stock Exchange will be ‘WORLDEX’ (World Index) and the global currency will be ‘GLOMONEY’ (Global Money). The implementation of “WORLDEX & GLOMONEY” will shield any kind of Global recession.

DIFFERENTIATION, UNIQUENESS AND ORIGINALITY OF A PRODUCT PROVIDES AUTOMATIC BRANDING

Chaitali: - He he he…you don’t need to write above or below your article that you have written that. The moment I have a glimpse of that article, I can make out that it has been written by you.

Arindam: - Oho! But, how can you make out that?

Chaitali: - Very simple! In all your articles, the title is in Capital letters and it is followed by three exclamation marks. You never write anything in an essay-type format. All are in the form of dialogues with some funny characters. Moreover, all the letters of the article are in bold and in italics. You use some words, which I find in your articles only.

Arindam: - Yeah, these are the common features in all my articles. I have never thought about that. Maybe, I think that I should change my writing style and formatting, so that it does not become boring to the readers.

Chaitali: - Now, you are talking like a fool. Why you will change your writing style and formatting? There are some things, which you should not change. Rather you should maintain it. Maybe, one section of readers will find it boring, but it is also true that another section of readers will always read your articles because it has its own uniqueness, which is somewhat different from the traditional form of writing or presenting an article.

Arindam: - what are you trying to say? I do not understand any head or tail of it.

Chaitali:- In brief, I wanted to say that whatever funny attributes are associated with your articles is good for you only, because it is creating a different brand altogether. Whether the brand value is good or bad, that is a different question, but it is creating a brand.

Arindam: - Brand? My goodness, since my childhood, I have always heard about brandy, but not about brand. By the way, what is a brand?

Chaitali: - Suppose that you have won a lottery of 1 lakh rupees. Now, where will you keep that money?

Arindam: - Of course, in a bank.

Chaitali: - In which bank?

Arindam: - In SBI.

Chaitali: - Why in State Bank of India? Why not in other private banks like ICICI or HDFC?

Arindam: - Boss, my grandfather and father kept their money in SBI. They had full faith on SBI.

Chaitali: - Exactly, now, that is known as branding. SBI has been able to earn the confidence of its customers towards their banking service, that is why, even the grandchild of a SBI customer is willing to keep his money in the SBI. It is the similar case with TATA Salt. You will not buy any other salt if you get TATA salt. Also, you will not buy any other toothpaste, if you get Colgate, because your father also had faith on Colgate. Now, if the owner of these branded companies would have changed the quality of their products by thinking that some customers will feel bored, then it could have back-fired their brand value only.

Arindam: - Accha, I have a question. Say I am a new businessman and want to enter in a certain market segment, where all my competitors are big brands. Then, how can I do the market penetration within a short time and then create the brand value of my product?

Chaitali: - Do a market survey and find out the reasons for which the customers of your competitors are unhappy? Capitalize on those dissatisfactions and create your product in such a fashion that it will provide those services to the customers. Say a customer wants to watch TV in his mobile phone. He is not getting that feature from any of the companies. Now, if you are a new player in the market, who is going to provide that facility in your mobile handsets, then the customer will buy your product. In this age of globalization, a customer never gets satisfied easily and if he gets satisfied also, his satisfaction does not last for long, because the next day, your competitor will come up with new features which will hack your customers. But, there are some company, whose brand value never changes because they believe that “DIFFERENTIATION, UNIQUENESS AND ORIGINALITY OF A PRODUCT PROVIDES AUTOMATIC BRANDING” to it.

EGO PROBLEMS IN INDIAN IT INDUSTRY

Barack: - We need to create a strong domestic IT market in our USA. Many college students are learning about IT & ITES faster than any other countries. They are even providing technical support to US citizens at a very low cost. The more we can create domestic jobs for our US people, the more quickly we can recover from the global recession. Stop outsourcing IT jobs to India.

Condoleeza: - The quality of IT services of Indian IT companies has degraded. Some of them are also fake companies. Take the case of Mahindra Satyam only. They are yet to publish their real accounts.

Arindam: - You cannot judge the Indian IT industry by considering the example of Raju’s Satyam.

Hillary: - Arindam, you must appreciate that one wounded fish makes the water of the pond reddish in color. David, what is your opinion about the Indian IT companies?

David: - Frankly speaking; Indian IT companies are losing their strong grounds in the international arena. Chinese and European IT companies are their main competitors. Within next 5 years, Chinese IT sector may start ruling the world. Already, around 2 lacs IT employees of China have taken extensive training on US English. The expenses on Chinese employee are the cheapest.

Arindam: - Are you dissatisfied with the quality of Indian IT products? Forget Mahindra Satyam. Are HCL, TCS, Wipro and Infosys so bad that US companies will stop outsourcing their jobs to them?

David: - Infosys is the only Indian IT company which have a work culture similar to any standard MNC. The employees of Infosys will always say that they are not happy with the work pressure, but they really produce quality software. HCL and Wipro are somewhat satisfactory. TCS has a good brand value, but they have excessive useless employees, who are good for nothing. Had TCS not been associated with a group like Tata Group, then TCS would have kicked out many such useless employees, who just roam around the office for 8 hours and get salaries.

Hillary: - David, recently you were talking about some clashes in a GDC of California, where all the Indian IT professionals are working on a project.

David: - how can I forget that bull fighting? In that project, there are 7 programmers, 4 web designers, 2 DBAs and 1 system designer. Now, all of them are claiming that they understood the client’s requirement in minute details, but when all the modules got integrated into a package, it is showing some other results. Therefore, everyone is now involved in mudslinging. Programmers are saying that they have done the correct coding, but these web designers have added wrong codes to the main buttons. That’s why, many forms are inactive. System Designer is saying that the DBA people have not done the normalization of tables in a proper fashion. That’s why; the ultimate results are not getting updated to the final master table. Everyone is accusing the other person. They are not co-operative with each other and lack unity among themselves.

Condoleeza: - Indian IT professionals are always egoistic.

David: - That’s not acceptable. As a businessman, I am investing money on an IT project for my benefit. Why the hell will I tolerate those egos? Any Tom, Dick, Harry or even a street beggar can do those coding, if they are trained for 6 months. What’s the big deal? These coders just know how to cut, copy and paste. They don’t know why you should make DFD and UML before starting the coding. They even don’t understand the basics of Object Oriented technology like polymorphism and abstraction. Cut, Copy and Paste does not help. The Indian IT coders remain in that position for long without increasing their own competency levels. Therefore, they are just like mere labors. But, Non-Indian IT professionals will work as software programmers for 2 years and then they will have so much hunger under their belly that they will give their best effort to become a Project Manager or Delivery Integrator. This kind of effort adds profitability to the company. They also have a co-operative and knowledge sharing mind, which helps them to maintain unity among themselves. Whereas, the Indian IT professionals feel egoistic being a mere labor. IT Outsourcing in India is decreasing rapidly because of the “EGO PROBLEMS IN INDIAN IT INDUSTRY”.
